Write timing
Measures how fast this light really accepts commands. The result sets how smooth every animation can be. Takes about a minute; the light will pulse.
Blackout test
Steps the light down through the lowest values, holding each for three seconds and announcing it. Watch the light and note the first value where it is genuinely dark.
Colour calibration
Measures what colour each of the six patterns really is, using this device's camera. The app drives your light and watches it at the same time, so the colours in this app come from your own hardware instead of from a specification that leaves four of the six unconfirmed.
Do this in a dark room. Hold the camera about 20 cm from the light with nothing else bright in frame. Takes about a minute.
Mapping audit
Writes every candidate value and reads back what the firmware actually stored, so the brightness and pattern mapping is derived from your light instead of from the specification. Takes about two minutes. Copy the result back to Claude.
